Guidelines verification component

Modelling using graphical notations permits to improve communications among stakeholders. The usage and composition of the notation elements can greatly impact on the understandability of the dened models. This is an important factor to consider in complex organizations where activities are performed by the collaboration of many stakeholders. Understandability becomes even more important when models are also used to structure learning activities. We introduce a set of guidelines that have been dened to improve understandability of BPMN models. The list of Guidelines is available to the tecnical report...

We have developed a Guidelines verification component which helps the Modeller, in his activity of model validation, to establish if a guideline is observed based on whether a threshold is met or not.
The current version of Guidelines verification component, given its prototypical nature, is available in source code form at github, where you can find more information, download the tool and experiment with it.

A basic web user interface to use the guidelines verification component available Here.
